Is It Haram for a Man to Wear a Silver Necklace?

Is Wearing Allah Necklace Haram?

No, wearing an Allah necklace is not haram. In fact, it is a sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) to wear a necklace with the word "Allah" written on it.

It is permissible for Muslim women to wear Allah pendants as long as the pendant contains no images of animate beings. This is based on the hadith in which Asma, the daughter of Abu Bakr, asked the Prophet Muhammad whether it was permissible for her to wear a silver bracelet with a depiction of a camel on it.

The Prophet replied that it was permissible as long as the camel could not move. This ruling applies to all Allah pendants, regardless of whether they are made of silver, gold or any other material. 

So long as the pendant contains no images of animate beings, it is permissible for Muslim women to wear it. Quran 8:26 states "O ye who believe! Truly the Pagans are unclean; so let them not, after this year of theirs, approach the Sacred Mosque." 

This means that those who do not follow Islam are considered unclean by Allah. Wearing an Allah pendant is a way of showing that you are clean and pure. It is a sign of your commitment to Islam. Wearing an Allah pendant also shows that you are proud to be Muslim and that you are not afraid to show your faith.
